Is there something else you feel is overlooked? I'm worried about new people to the fandom, or younger people, where our meet could be one of their earliest impressions.

Are there any LGBTQ2+ creators of these sorts of things for sale that you can recommend? (shipping to Canada 🇨🇦 is a must)

Boosts OK! ❤️

Related to a discussion here - I've been thinking about ways to make our local LGBTQ2+ furries feel more welcome when we host meets and events at our place. Aside from the obvious pride flags and generally trying to be supportive (and that's the bare minimum, IMO, anyway)...

What about some kind of 'Hi, my name is ___ and my pronouns are ___' badges at the door?

Or little ribbons/stickers/wrist bands to give out?

Is that overkill, or would that make you feel welcome?

@brainblasted @Gargron @kithop There's a comment at the bottom from a maintainer:

> We hear you. We had thought that we could address our plans for handling illegal content/spam/etc. without the flag feature, but you all make very salient points on why this feature is the way to handle it. We plan to revert as soon as possible.

@purism Thx for this blog post. I would really appreciate it if you put a notice into Librem social that it is a fork of Tusky. Here is our opencollective in case you want to support the Tusky team opencollective.com/tusky

Don't get me wrong, its fine to fork #Tusky (and others), but please adhere to GPL 3, which says "The work must carry prominent notices stating that you modified it, and giving a relevant date."

Really, @purism? You copy a bunch of open-source apps and make it look like they are yours without any mention of the original apps? I think you should delete these apps immediately and publicly apologize. Or at least don't have the audacity to call yourself a "Social Purpose Corporation that does not exploit people and puts doing social good over maximizing profit ", because its obviously not true.

@purism you would be wise to merge !4 in your GitLab instance

https://source.puri.sm/liberty/smilodon/merge_requests/4

Not doing so would be a fools errand on the ActivityPub network.

Block lists do NOT work.

Ever self-hosted an e-mail server and had a bad actor submit your domain to a block list? How hard was it to be removed from said list once you were part of it? Were all of the other servers using that list ever updated to remove your entry once it was discovered and the problem rectified?

Think about that scenario long and hard, especially in the context of NON CORPORATE admins and actors who don't have the time, capacity or desire to fight with a block list removal because they were targeted by a bad actor.
